StartUp SetUp: Money, Time

Someone starting a new business faces a huge challenge of money & time. You have a great product idea & you want to bring it to market quickly. However, you still need to go through the logistics of setting up the physical & technical infrastructure. Spending money & hiring resources to get the job done can be daunting, given the limited supply of money at the early stages of the business. On the other hand, doing these tasks yourself can be very time consuming and distracting. By taking care of the logistics yourself, you are delaying the time to market for your actual product.

When you find yourself in this situation, it may be possible to employ a hybrid approach. With so many freeware & open source out there for everything from setting up your OS to getting your blog and micro-blog ready, you may be able to do these on your own without losing much time. You may also be able to hire a student to do these tasks for you for a low rate. They gain the experience & you get the job done. On the other hand, hiring help to identify potential office spaces, furniture, etc can be outsourced.  Being creative can help you save both money & time to get your business running quickly.
